For her first collaboration with Nike, Danish-born designer Veneda Carter uses the Air Max Muse as a vehicle to show us the origin of her creative practice. Veneda's family is from Warsaw, Poland, a city steeped in tradition and full of sprawling flea markets. This Air Max Muse evokes the look of utilitarian garments Veneda has seen throughout her life at these outdoor bazaars. This clash of colour and texture mirrors the juxtaposition of high and low culture seen throughout Veneda's work. Reflective bubbles put a playful spin on the iconic design, and the lace tips are adorned with Veneda's signature nugget texture from her jewellery line, creating a versatile footwear option that can be dressed up or worn casually.
