adidas Pharrell Williams Virginia Adistar Jellyfish - Core White / Off White / Chalk Brown

Pharrell first appeared in the Jellyfish at the Paris Olympics, wearing what looked like a heavily customised Adistar Cushion 3, until it became clear this was something else entirely. Former adidas Design Director Zac Andrews confirmed the brief in two words: "Go way bigger." The flat overlays of the original Adistar Cushion 3 have been turned three-dimensional with rubberised, tentacle-like protrusions that extend across the upper and into the midsole, built under Pharrell's VIRGINIA creative alias and designed to read as a wearable sculpture as much as a sneaker. The Triple White colourway keeps the palette almost entirely monochromatic across Core White, Off White and Chalk Brown, letting the interplay of panels, textures and contoured overlays carry the whole thing without the need for loud colour.
