In 2009 New Balance launched the 1906R as a tribute to the Millenial Runner aesthetic. After the runner celebrated a brilliant comeback with a thisisneverthat collabo, further general releases are now following. For the upper New Balance relies on a familiar mix of mesh and shiny synthetic leather overlays. Technical highlights of the Runner are the characteristic NLock system and the striking heel counter. The M1906R is equipped with an N-ergy outsole, ACTEVA LITE midsole and ABZORB SBS cushioning and shares the sole unit with the no less popular 2002R and 860 V2.
