In the 1940s, the U.S. Navy introduced reversible T-shirts as part of its physical training uniforms and continued using them during the Vietnam War. Turning the shirts inside out made it easy to distinguish between teams. Inspired by this practicality, American public schools began adopting reversible shirts for gym class uniforms in the 1970s.
This version from The Real McCoy's is made in Japan from 100% cotton in a 6.5 oz weight and comes in the classic navy/yellow colour-way. It features ribbed detailing on the collar and hems, while the yellow side is finished with contrasting navy collar and sleeve trim, reminiscent of a ringer tee. The sizing tab is also exposed on the rear.
