Jelado Salem Coat Black

The Blanket Pattern design has become somewhat synonymous with Jelado over recent years, perfectly recreating vintage style blanket patterns from the 1920's & 30's. The Salem series was originally woven in a black/white blanket pattern, borrowed from the original example in Goto san's archive. 

This blanket pattern has been woven in Japan on vintage jacquard looms, operated by one small factory near Bishu, a historic region in the Aichi prefecture where wool manufacturing and production has a deep rooted history. Staying true to the design pattern of their original Salem blanket pattern from 2018, this version comes in an intricate colour-way, with lighter & darker shades of red & green throughout. 

Cut in Japan from a blend of wool & nylon, the Salem Coat features a button front, with two large patch pockets. For ease of movement & comfort the Salem features raglan sleeve construction, while a button cuff adjuster & throat tab closure complete the look.
