Sugar Cane Fiction Romance 16.7 oz Indigo Tweed Work Pants

By studying and referencing original workwear documents from the period, Sugar Cane has faithfully revived a full range of functional details typical of true vintage garments. These authentic elements are reinterpreted and thoughtfully combined within the brand’s own line, aptly named “Fiction Romance.” This concept reflects Sugar Cane’s philosophy of blending historical accuracy with creative craftsmanship, producing pieces that honour the past while remaining wearable today.

Based on Headlight dungarees produced in the late 1940's and 1950's, these trousers are crafted from a heavy weight indigo tweed, originally made in a heavy canvas, or denim, these have been elevated in Japan using a herringbone tweed.

Rare tool pockets on both sides echo original vintage details, while double-layered knees add durability, complete with side openings below the knee pads to allow water to drain during washing. Finished with a silhouette that tapers subtly from thigh to hem.
