The Real McCoy's Trousers, Working, Denim Blue

Arguably the finest Americana reproduction brand from Japan, the Real McCoy's painstakingly recreate and update original garments for the modern day offering the best from the past, replicated to perfection without compromise in Japan. 

In June 1919, the U.S. Army officially adopted blue denim work clothing as its standard fatigue uniform, replacing the earlier brown variants. The original set included a pullover-style jumper, five-pocket trousers, and the iconic Denim Army Hat, more commonly known as the Daisy Mae.

The Real McCoy's have faithfully recreated these blue denim trousers, designated spec number 6-124A, demonstrating a subtle pattern revision of the original 6-124 model adopted in 1919. They retained nearly identical specifications, including the distinctive back cinch, which remained a standard feature until it was officially removed from the design in 1937.

Made in Japan using a lightweight 10 oz denim with an unbleached weft, keeping the fabric as close as possible to the original issue. Contrasting white stitching is present throughout, while two large front patch pockets with small coin pocket have been paired with two large rear pockets. The rear cinch-back and button fly finish the piece, staying consistent with military specifications in use up until 1937.
