Y'2 Leather TR-65 Steer Roughout Single Riders Jacket Black

Y'2 Leather are based in Osaka, Japan, and have been in the leather jacket making game for close to fifty years. Specialising in horse, cow & deer hides, they make some exceptional jackets, all handmade in their Osaka studio.

Here we have the TR-65 Single Riders Jacket from Y'2, their take on a classic Single Riders style, pared back and classically styled. The leather is a 1.3mm full grain Steerhide Roughout suede, the reverse of their oiled Steerhide. The leather is water-dyed in Japan and is finished naturally using a drum dyeing process, providing an even distribution of colour, without hiding scratches or scuffs with dye. 

Each jacket from Y'2 is stitched in their Osaka studio with great skill, using a fine stitch-count which is extremely hard to achieve on leather manufacturing. The TR-65 has been produced with the same sewing techniques as seen on vintage leather jackets to enhance the puckering through the seams creating wonderful, subtle areas of character that run through each garment. 

The TR-65 features zipped cuffs while the single chest pocket is cut to a slight angle. Two welted hand pockets and a single interior pocket behind the placket have been paired with custom brass hardware for the zips. For added comfort the jacket has been lined with a cotton/linen canvas for the body and lightweight cupra for the sleeves. An absolute cracker that enjoys no break in time what-so-ever!
