Warehouse & Co have been producing authentic, high quality garments since 1995. Warehouse continue with their standard aesthetic and development of iconic, classic pieces that have served them so well for 25 years.
The U.S. Army Wool Mackinaw Coat is an example of one the more rare vintage U.S. Army Jackets, commonly referred to as the Transport Coat. U.S. Army gear was usually always issued in olive green/drab and they rarely used navy blue, this was reserved for US Navy personnel, but during the 1930's they issued some of these Mackinaw's in navy blue for U.S. Army use.
These were issued sparingly and were soon discontinued where it was worn by the Civil Conservation Corps (CCC), a voluntary government work programme that ran from 1933 to 1942 in the United States formed under President Roosevelt's 'New Deal', designed for young men to find work & relieve families who felt the full force of The Great Depression. With leftover stock these were also issued to civilians for cold weather clothing use.
This example from Warehouse & Co is one of the finest you'll see. Cut in Japan from a double faced merino melton wool, with double layers on the back and shoulders. The Lot. 2228 features two lower pockets with button flap closure on the waist a button front using custom nut buttons, while the high button front and collar more than protect against wind and rain.

Similar enough to flag, not similar enough to merge — often the same model in a women's or men's cut. Other colourways are listed above. Check before assuming it's the same product.
