Japanese brand Soundman have created a name for themselves creating unique clothing with a classical twist. Their latest collection for AW24 is no different as the Birmingham jacket demonstrates.
The Durango II from Japanese favourites Soundman is inspired by vintage Cuban, or Guayabera shirts, with roots dating back to the late 19th century. Cuban or Guayabera shirts are typically adorned with 2 or 4 pockets and vertical rows of delicately sewn pleats.
Cut in Japan from an 8 oz denim, the shirt features a classic work wear style collar with chin strap, while two chest pockets and two hip pockets with button closure have been paired with intricately woven pleats feature on either side of button facing placket.
