New Balance continues the legacy of one of their core running silhouettes with the latest update of the iconic 990 series, the Made in USA 990V5. Inspired by the refined and simple aesthetics of Japan, the 990V5 streamlines the mesh and pigskin suede upper with a sleeker shape while adding two translucent TPU wing straps for improved stability. New Balance has also lowered the heel to forefoot drop to 12mm while providing premium cushioning with an OrthoLite insole and a midsole that features ENCAP and ABZORB technology for three layers of comfort and support. The redesign is finished off with a blown rubber outsole that supplies superior grip on any surface.
