The Nike Wmns Air Rift is one of the most distinctive silhouettes from the Nike archive. Developed by model maker and ultrarunner Kip Buck, the design was inspired by the desire to replicate the feeling of barefoot running – influenced by Kenyan runners training in the Rift Valley. The split toe marks Nike's first foray into natural-motion footwear, while the name references Kenya's Great Rift Valley. This version comes in Light Khaki and Light Army – a muted, earthy palette that makes the shoe-sandal hybrid calm and everyday-friendly.
