For her ongoing chapter with Asics, Cecilie Bahnsen translates her Copenhagen handwriting into the GEL-Kinetic FR. The Danish designer, founded in 2015, works between couture and ready-to-wear, handcrafting her fabrics and merging French fashion traditions with Scandinavian design culture. The Kinetic FR draws deeply from the archive: the silhouette reads as a progressive everyday sneaker with clear references to early 2000s Asics running, fitting closer to the foot and featuring a cleaner finish thanks to the revamped synthetic quarter. This version comes in Black / Black Coffee – a deep-toned monochromatic look that whispers rather than shouts the technical layers of the mesh upper. The open mesh, synthetic overlays, and GEL in the base remain true to this muted palette, completely leather-free. It embodies Bahnsen's idea of contrast: structure meets softness, runner DNA meets Copenhagen calm. A dark winter tone that translates the label's romantic language into a subtle, wearable expression.
