The adidas BW Army brings one of the quieter silhouettes from the archive back into the spotlight. The shoe dates back to the 1970s when it was originally designed as an indoor training shoe for the German army – the “BW” stands for Bundeswehr. Formally, it strongly resembles the Samba, but omits the three-stripe motif on the sides and opts for a reduced build. This version comes in the colorway Light Brown / Putty Beige / Gum 4 and remains consistently leather. Like many adidas classics, suede overlays sit on the upper, along with the flat silhouette and classic gum sole. Warm earth tones, minimal branding, and a lot of calm in the details.
