The Adidas SL 72 RS brings one of the quietest legends from the adidas archive back to the present. The original SL 72 was launched in 1972 as a lightweight running shoe, with 'SL' standing for 'Super Light' and '72' for the year of release, aiming to benefit from the running boom of the seventies. It was also one of the first shoes with the Trefoil logo. The RS version adopts the upper material design but places it on a sturdier sole – 'RS' stands for 'reshaped'.
