After training as a painter and print maker, Castro Smith started a traditional apprenticeship with the Goldsmiths Company to study engraving. Using the ancient technique of ‘seal engraving’ Castro modernises his designs European and Japanese influences. Inspired by history, myths and biology, he is obsessed with creatures and their creations.
Crafted in 9kt yellow gold, this classic shaped signet has been embossed with a black rhodium ship motif, one archetypal to Castro's designs.
