ONI Denim 03517 Ishikawadai 15oz 'Early Model' Type II Denim Jacket - One Wash

This early model type II by denim masters ONI is one of our favourites from the brand. Woven using cotton yarn spun on a remarkably rare Japanese spinning machine from the early 1950’s, this incredible denim takes its name from the contraption which gave it life; the Ishikawadai. Producing yarn at a frustratingly slow rate by modern standards, this machine produces a unique feel which protects the integrity of the cotton, giving the fabric a natural, hand-spun appearance.

The silhouette takes inspiration from early model type IIs, sharing a foundation in practicality. Knife pleats decorate the placket for a heritage inspired construction and the patch pockets have been reinforced with copper rivets for some extra durability.
