ONI Denim 01507L Ishikawadai 15oz Type-I Denim Jacket - One Wash

ONI Denim · in stock at SON OF A STAG in sizes 38, 40, 42 and 44 · delivery to United States

The short/boxy shape of the type-I is instantly recognisable, and ONI have brought us a version which is complete with plenty of period correct features, with a slight ONI twist for good measure. A single pocket adorns the chest, while punch though copper rivets are present at stress points. Sewn in knife pleats can be found on the front, while an iconic selvedge button plate shows quality and distinction on the inside. A row of custom manufactured donut buttons have been used in this design, which we might typically find on a WWII jacket. The 'L' in it's product code signifies a slightly longer body than the average type 1, so its a great choice for a more contemporary dresser.

Woven using cotton yarn spun on a remarkably rare Japanese spinning machine from the early 1950’s, this incredible new denim takes its name from the contraption which gave it life; the Ishikawadai. Producing yarn at a frustratingly slow rate by modern standards, this machine produces a unique feel which protects the integrity of the cotton, giving the fabric a natural, hand-spun appearance.

Supply Vision is a search engine, not a shop. We sell nothing and hold no stock — every listing is information gathered from a retailer's own catalogue, and any order is placed with that retailer, on their site and under their terms.

Prices, availability, sizes, shipping and duties are indicative and may be out of date; the retailer's own page is the authoritative one. We accept no responsibility for the accuracy of what is shown here, or for any purchase made through it.

A store appearing here is not a recommendation — being listed means its catalogue can be read, nothing more. Before ordering from a shop you do not know, do your own research: check its reviews on Trustpilot and Google Maps, look up its social accounts, and read its own delivery and returns terms.
