On the surface the 689 Kiraku II is a comfortable relaxed tapered fit, offering a little more room in the top with a mid rise, and then gently tapering down the leg to give a natural, slim silhouette. Taking a look at the denim we find all of that classic uneven slubbiness that we know and love from the brand, but this is no heavyweight jean. At just 11.9oz, ONI have woven a denim which blurs the lines of traditional denim manufacturing. This comfortable, breathable denim has been expertly woven on a low tension, creating a fabric with incredible fading opportunities, but which also won’t stifle you in the summer heat. In fact, this jean is so light and slubby that if you hold it up to the light, you can see the rays shining through. None of the classic sturdy manufacturing techniques have been overlooked on this model, as they boast universal copper rivets, raised belt loops, heavy duty bar tacks, and concealed rivets on the back pockets. The back patch has been crafted from deer skin leather, and the selvedge line is an eye catching shade of pink.
