The Cardigan Jacket is emblematic of the many jackets and outerwear garments manufactured by great American outfitters of the 20th century. Look close enough and you might spot some L.L. Bean or Orvis. But it's Willis and Geiger Outfitters—makers of legendary expeditionary garments— which had the most impact on Engineered Garments' Daiki Suzuki during his design process.
The front body features four pockets—allowing for plenty of carrying ability—along with a binocular strap. The latter is an essential feature from a bygone era, appreciated by explorers the world-over. Daiki removed the collar, giving the jacket a cardigan-like appearance and allowing it to be more versatile—wear it over or under a layer. The fabric is classic explorer, a cotton-linen that likely outlast us all.
Hoshi is 185cm (6'1") wearing size Medium.
