The Hiker, or Model 66, was added to Viberg's range in the early 1970s as mountaineering-inspired version of the Model 105 Logging Boot. It features developments listed from Viberg's industrial products, adapted for outdoor use.
The uppers are constructed from Alpine Calf leather produced by Tannerie D'Annonay in France—synonymous with the finest leathers since 1838. Located in Annonay, a leather-production since the 12th century this material is a highly prized cowhide, featuring a unique grain with a medium shine that's scratch-resistant.
Viberg boots are made for a lifetime of wear, so a sole which can be repaired, removed and replaced is paramount to ensure that daily wear doesn't cut that experience short. A Viberg Extralight EVA sole unit provides EVA cushioning and increased grip thanks to the grooved outsole.
