Converse unisex standard fit “Parchment” off-white canvas high top retro basketball sneaker. The first mass produced basketball sneaker in North America, the Converse All Star debuted in 1917 in natural brown colors with black trim. In 1922, Converse hired Charles “Chuck” Taylor as a salesperson and player-coach for its club team, the Converse All Stars. In 1933, Taylor signed a contract to add his name and signature to the shoe; a year later, Converse officially changed the sneaker’s name to the Chuck Taylor All Star. Part of Converse’s “Chuck 70” line that produces Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers in retro-inspired colorways and with retro details and quality.
