Released in 2023, everything is alive is Slowdive's fifth studio album and their first full-length release since 2017's self-titled comeback. The album finds the British shoegaze pioneers embracing a warmer, more spacious sound, combining shimmering guitars, hazy electronics and Rachel Goswell and Neil Halstead's intertwined vocals.

Across eight tracks, everything is alive balances the dreamlike atmosphere of Slowdive's classic work with a more restrained, reflective approach. From the expansive shanty and kisses to the hypnotic chained to a cloud and the slab, it is a beautifully immersive return from one of shoegaze's defining bands.
