Greg Betty’s “Sunday’s Best” is one of those Vans projects where knowing the story makes the shoe even better. Inspired by Junya Watanabe and Betty’s Jamaican roots, the 2026 project turns the Classic Slip-On 98 into a patchwork tribute to Black and Caribbean Sunday-best dressing.
The Blue and Black edition mixes linen, poplin, canvas, Oxford shirting, floral tapestry, houndstooth, gingham and striped shirting across an asymmetrically pieced upper. Underneath all that pattern is still one of the simplest and best Vans silhouettes ever made.
