Puma x A$AP Rocky Suede

The Puma x A$AP Rocky Suede is born from the collaboration between Puma and Harlem rapper, style icon, and designer A$AP Rocky, who has been the Creative Director of the brand since 2024 and previously shaped the F1 collection as well as models like Mostro and Inhale. For his first take on the Suede, he consciously references the Suede '94 – the archive version that gives the silhouette its distinctive 90s profile. Instead of reinventing the classic, Rocky allows it to age. A slimmer tooling shape gives the shoe its typical 90s profile, while a raw-edged tongue and a retro web label sharpen the contemporary construction; a gold Puma lace keeper and a custom shoe box highlight the collaboration. The full retro Puma logo above the quarter panel is the clearest identifying feature – according to the brand, it has not been used on any previous Suede in this form. The choice of the '94 model is no coincidence. Rocky chose this model for reasons beyond proportions: New York 1994 brought together the Golden Era of hip-hop, the development of modern streetwear, and a downtown skate culture. This era is carried forward by the shoe in its faded finish.
