You can thank the upper for its lightweight, with an ultralight protective ripstop nylon that's so light it's semi-translucent yet super tough. 

Being based on the mainline Mafate Speed 4 means the dual-layered ProFly+™ midsole features a firm propulsive base foam with a layer of HOKA's classic cushioning foam to provide that signature cloud-like ride. The Vibram Megagrip rubber outsole is constructed with Litebase technology to ensure the weight is kept to a minimum.
