Santal Austral by Matiere Premiere is a perfume as refined as Australian white sandalwood. Both robust and aromatic, sandalwood is revisited here in a soft and luminous way. Aurélien Guichard uses the essence of Australian sandalwood and accentuates its white, sensual side by pairing it with almond milk and, in the heart, Tuscan iris absolute. The creamy aspect of the fragrance is highlighted by the presence of Venezuelan tonka beans and Laotian benzoin in the base.
