Mizuno MXR Black Sand / Black Bean / Henna

Mizuno originates from Osaka and is one of the oldest names in Japanese sports. With the MXR, the brand draws from its own archive: the design has its roots in the Maximizer from 2009, unearthed amid the retro running wave of the 2000s. The MXR is an extension of the globally known Wave Rider 10 – Y2K running, reimagined. The Mizuno MXR features Black Sand, Black Bean, and Henna: warm, muted earth tones on a breathable mesh base with textile insole and rubber outsole. The construction is intentionally leather-free and incorporates finely crafted details – eyestay prints, embossed quarter sections, and custom-designed tapes are spread across the silhouette. The Runbird logo remains the calm signature. This colorway brings the technical runner down to an earthy, autumnal palette – mesh and U4icX cushioning meet tones that evoke earth and shadow rather than neon.
